Monclova Township Fire Department~Safety Township Register Now

To be held at Monclova Primary, 8035 Monclova Road

Program for Entering Kindergartners
During the June 18-22 Safety Township program, entering kindergartners will experience a week of half-day, age-appropriate, fun programs on the following subjects:
road safety *** fire preparedness
stranger danger *** water safety
animal safety *** household safety
school bus rules *** bicycle safety

Parents are encouraged to download the necessary forms (Safety Township AM 2012 or Safety Township PM 2012) or pick up registration forms at the Administrative Offices. A $30 fee must accompany all registrations which covers the actual cost of the program. AM or PM sessions are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Remember that AM class fills up quickly!

Shredding & E-Cycling Days Announced

Dates for 2012 electronic recycling and shredding (a June event is also planned, though the township is not aware of the date at this time):

Sylvania; July 21^st – The Anderson’s, Woodville; Sept. 8^th – The Anderson’s, Maumee

All events are 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. These events will NOT take TVs, air conditioners or appliances.

Acceptable Items: phones, cell phones, computers & peripherals, office machines, toner, ink, VCRs, DVDs as well as items to be shredded.

There may be an added date in June for a Toledo Andersons event. As an e-cycling event gets closer, The Anderson’s website will have information. Feel free to spread the word. It’s a very good program.

Sheriff’s Substation on the Move

The Lucas County Sheriff’s Office in Monclova Township has recently moved from the Community Center at 8115 Monclova Road to the township’s Administrative Offices, 4335 Albon Road. This is not a walk-in office, but rather a location change to better serve the needs of the community. The move helps to facilitate a coordinated effort between the Board of Township Trustees and Lucas County Sheriff James A. Telb to better monitor the needs of the Monclova community.
